Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

Payments for Research Assistant are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as Merchant of Record. Your purchase contract is with Paddle, and Paddle handles all refund requests directly.

1. EU / EEA right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (implemented in Czech law by Act No. 634/1992 Coll.).

However, under Article 16(m) of that Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered other than on a tangible medium once performance has begun, provided you gave prior express consent and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal before the download began. Paddle's checkout flow presents this acknowledgement; by completing the purchase and initiating the download you confirm that consent.

If you completed the purchase but have not yet downloaded the application, you may withdraw within 14 days by contacting dominik.ficek@email.cz.

2. Defective software

If the Application is materially defective or substantially fails to perform as described, you are entitled to a remedy under Czech consumer law (Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code §§ 2099–2117 and EU Directive 2019/770). Contact dominik.ficek@email.cz describing the defect. We will aim to fix it within a reasonable time; if we cannot, a full refund will be issued through Paddle.

3. How to request a refund

  1. E-mail dominik.ficek@email.cz with your order number (found in your Paddle receipt) and the reason for the refund.
  2. We will review your request and, if approved, initiate the refund through Paddle.
  3. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).
